PRAYER TOOTH IN PREGNANCY
Why do gums bleed during pregnancy?
Swelling, redness and tenderness in the gums during pregnancy is a common complaint. Gums are
bleeding especially when brushing teeth. Almost half of the mothers can develop this problem.
This is also called pregnancy gingivitis. Gums are more susceptible to inflammation and subsequent
bleeding in pregnancy. The most important reason for this is that due to the hormonal changes in
pregnancy, the risk of dental plaque formation and bacteria become more obvious.
In this case, the dentist should be controlled and treated.
